This role at Enphase requires working onsite 3 days a week, with plans to transition back to a full 5 day in office schedule over time.
About the role
Enphase’s Ensemble Energy Storage system is the future of energy. Batteries are the heart of Energy Storage system and defining these correctly means defining the entire energy storage system. We need visionary and talented recent graduates to join our team as Product Line Manager in our Storage Business Unit. As a Product Manager, you will own the definition of various components of the Ensemble energy storage system and will be the voice of the customer. You will interact and contribute to the component definitions to ensure they carry the capabilities needed to enable the system functionality.
What you will be doing
- Own the VOC (Voice of the Customer) and the design of the Battery energy storage system
- Drive meetings with Failure Analysis Engineers, installers and homeowners. Capture and articulate product feedback from multiple sources. Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share and improve user experience
- Prioritize features based on market demand and impact, get buy-in from all stakeholders (engineering, systems, testing, field)
- Define detailed system requirements with expected sequence of operations. Define system configurations required to support market needs. Bring together an array of distributed components into a cohesive energy storage system
- Own the end-to-end product development process, including business case definition, writing and scoping product requirements, creating feature specifications, testing and validating pre-release product, and more
- Own and write technical documentation for supporting market launches and work with engineering teams to ensure these are complete and accurate
- Manage and track product development process ensuring agile product development and responsiveness to evolving market needs
- Define, track, and analyze metrics and measures for product performance
- Develop product related content in support of sales and account management teams
- Conduct competitive assessments
- Manage relationships with partners (manufacturing companies, distribution partners, customers, etc)
Who you are and what you bring
- Bachelors or Masters in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or MBA from IIM
- 5+ years of professional experience in hardware, software, or applications engineering
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire to work in a highly visible and critical role
What would make you stand out
- Experience with battery storage and/or PV inverter product management
- Natural peer and team leadership skills
- Application engineering experience with prior experience in writing technical documentation
